On August 21, 2006, she was diagnosed with a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma.
Alicia was treated at Hospital Saint Joan De Deu (Barcelona, Spain).
Her treatment consisted of Cisplatinum & Irinotecan & Avastin (2 months)
IMRT Radiotherapy & Temozolamide (6 weeks)
Cisplatinum & Irinotecan & Avastin & Theraloc (2 months)
Etoposide & Avastin ( 1 month)

Alicia earned her wings on November 21, 2007
A special message from Alicia's mom ...Alicia was a very happy child.
She had the most contagious laugh I've ever heard. During her entire fight she was so brave.
Alicia told us she would never give up and she never did.
